²⁷ And following Him was a large multitude of the people, and of women who were ^[a](A)mourning and lamenting Him. ²⁸ But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, stop crying for Me, but cry for yourselves and for your children. ²⁹ For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘^(B)Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’
